The Doctor who tried to sue me over a sandwitch bag.

Now he sends me referrals

How I Accidentally Ruined Dr. Dave’s Saturday

I was walking to my driveway to get my mail when a mobile detailer van

was leaving my neighbor Dr. Dave’s house.

Dr. Dave owns a BMW 5 series.

He spotted me and called out: “Javier! What do you think? How does it look?”

“Hey man, it looks very nice and shiny.”

“But want me to show you a little trick you probably don’t know about?”

“What is it?”

“Go to your kitchen, grab a sandwich bag, put your

hand inside and rub it against your paint.”

Dr. Dave came back, slid his hand inside the bag, and rubbed it across his hood.

His expression changed. “Oh… that feels bumpy. What is that?”

“That’s molecular contamination from LA smog, sun’s UV rays, brake dust, jet fuel.”

Dr. Dave stared at his car. “So I just wasted $350?”

“They did good car washing and waxing. But what you’re feeling is a completely

different problem that requires a completely different solution.”

“Different how?”

“Car detailing treats surface contamination. What you’re feeling is Oxidation Dysfunction

- that’s not a detailing problem anymore, that’s a paint health condition.”

What I Showed Dr. Dave

“The contamination you’re feeling will continue to damage your paint.

But I developed a system called Paint Detox that removes it at the molecular level.”

“Let me see,” Dr. Dave said.

I showed him a sample area. “Touch this treated side versus the untreated side.”

He ran his hand across both areas. The difference was obvious.

“That’s completely different. How?”

“Paint Detox removes molecular contaminants without leaving silicone residue.

So when we protect your paint afterward, it actually bonds properly.”

Dr. Dave didn’t hesitate. “Alright, man. Let’s get it done.”

Dr. Dave’s Questions While I Worked

“How does this contamination happen?” Dr. Dave asked.

“There’s been a major shift in automotive paint. Your paint is 60% thinner

than it was 20 years ago.”

“Really?”

“Your paint used to be as thick as a credit card, now it’s as thin as a dollar bill.

So it easily gets contaminated by LA smog, UV radiation, brake dust.”

“I had no idea,” Dr. Dave said.

“Most people don’t. The entire car care industry is stuck in the old category -

treating surface problems with methods designed for thick paint twenty years ago.”

“But paint got thinner and contamination got worse. The problems evolved but the solutions didn’t.”

“So we abandoned car detailing entirely and created

 Paint Detox  -

the first treatment designed specifically for Oxidation Dysfunction.”

What I Discovered at the Barbecue

After Dr. Dave paid me, I couldn’t stop thinking about what happened.

The following weekend at our neighborhood barbecue, I asked a few

neighbors if I could test their vehicles.

Mercedes, BMWs, Audis - they were all rough with the same condition.

Every single luxury car had Oxidation Dysfunction.

But nobody knew it existed.

The Thing About Luxury Car Owners

Here’s what I realized that weekend.

Most luxury car owners have no idea this condition exists.

Just like Dr. Dave didn’t.

He thought his car was perfectly maintained until that simple test

revealed what was really happening.

Now I’m wondering… how many other people are driving around with

this same condition, completely unaware?

Probably most of them.

If You’re Curious

Maybe you’re wondering about your own car now.

Maybe you’re thinking about that rough feeling Dr. Dave discovered.

Or maybe you’re just curious what Paint Detox actually does.

If any of that sounds familiar…

P.S.

Dr. Dave calls me every few months now. Not for his car - that still feels smooth.

He calls to refer colleagues who ask him why his BMW always looks so good.

DOUBLE P.S.

Most people will read this story, think “interesting,” and go back to their busy lives.

That’s totally fine.

But if you’re like Dr. Dave - the type who asks questions when

something doesn’t make sense…

You know where to find me.

TRIPLE P.S.

Your car probably looks fine right now.

But “fine” isn’t why you bought luxury.
